Application Procedure
Below are instructions for submission of applications for amendments to the Zoning Resolutions and County Land use Regulations:
Zoning and Surrounding Owners List
First Special Use and Second Special Use and Surrounding Owners List
Subdivision and Surrounding Owners List
After a decision has been made by the Douglas County Planning Commission, the application will not be reconsidered for a period of one (1) year.
The following items shall be submitted with the application:
- 25 copies of a plat showing the property in accordance with the legal description including:
- physical features on the site
- existing and proposed structure of building
(Refer to Subdivision Regulations for platting requirements and submittals.) You will need the names and mailing addresses of all property owners within at least 300 feet to one mile, depending on the density of the development, from the property being considered. - Fees information
- Any other data, plans and information which the applicant feels would be of assistance to the Planning Commission in making a decision.
The owner or a person having a purchase agreement or a person having a power of attorney shall sign the application and be present at the public hearing when the application is considered by the Planning Commission.
