APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Procedure for submission of applications for amendments to the Zoning Resolutions
and County Land use Regulations.

After a decision by the Douglas County Planning Commission, the application will not be reconsidered for a period of one (1) year.

The following items shall be submitted with the application:

1. 25 copies of a plat showing the property in accordance with the legal description including physical features on the site, existing and proposed structures and building. (Refer to Subdivision Regulations for platting requirements and submittals.)

2. The names and mailing addresses of all property owners within at least three (300) hundred feet to one (1) miles, depending on the density of the development, from the property being considered. (See application form for instructions)

3. Fees according to the following schedule:

DOUGLAS COUNTY FEES FOR LAND USE REGULATIONS	-
Grading Permit (For projects larger than one acre and less than ten acres)	$500.00
Grading Permit (For projects greater than or equal to ten acres)	$1,000.00
Amendments to Zoning Regulations (including Overlay District Designation)	$300.00
Sign Permit	$50.00
Preliminary Plat (Subdivisions under 10 lots)	$300.00
Preliminary Plat (Subdivisions 10 lots and more) ($50.00 per lot not to exceed $3,000.00)	$650.00 plus
Final Plat (Subdivisions under 10 lots)	$200.00
Final Plat (Subdivisions 10 lots and more) ($50.00 per lot not to exceed $3,000.00)	$550.00 plus
Special Use Permit (under 20 acres)	$300.00
Special Use Permit (20 acres and more)	$425.00
Administrative Plats, Replats, and Waivers of Subdivision Requirements	$150.00 plus $50.00 per lot
Other	$150.00

4. Any other data, plans and information which the applicant feels would be of assistance to the Planning Commission in making a decision.

The owner or a person having a purchase agreement or a person having a power of attorney shall sign the application and be present at the public hearing when the application is considered by the Planning Commission.
